This season we will be granted a front seat at the shows, as the camera follows Rachel through the nest offering of New York fashion. She was reportedly spotted with the camera's rolling on Thursday night as she hosted an opening at the Beverly Hills salon.

Credit Crunch- What Credit Crunch?

With the current economic climate, you would not expect smaller brands to be splashing out on models to appear in their ad campaigns would you? Clearly we've underestimated handbag brand, Coach who reportedly splashed out on a hefty $50,000 to bag Ali Michael to appear in their spring/summer 09 ad campaign.

These last few months the credit crunch has had an obvious impact on the fashion industry. My fashion friend and I are already complaining about the few parties planned for fashion week this season, and lack thereof. For goodness sake, party God Marc Jacobs isn't even hosting any of his legendary after parties this season. Reportedly, he is cutting invites to his autumn/winter show by hundreds, despite hosting the show in the same location. When the credit crunch affects Marc Jacobs, you know there is a problem! Big brands like Versace and Prada have turned to the 'Supers' like Kate, Giselle and Linda to try and pull in those dollars as the luxury market takes a trip downwards.

Recent reports claim that LVMH are interested in acquiring the accessories brand.

If a $50,000 payout is not a statement to their competitors that te credit crunch is not hitting Coach, I don't know what is?

Something for the weekend

I hope everyone is having a great 'Superbowl' Sunday.

This afternoon I've been sitting deleting and moving some pictures off my laptop. Honestly, when your computer crashes at least 15 times a day and your mouse is incapable of moving, it's time to go through the fashion pictures clogging up your hard drive and de-junk. I know....it's hard but it has to be done right?

And what a good thing I did!! I came across these beautiful pictures of Grace Jones shot by the amazingly creative photographer Andrea Klarin.

The styling in the shoot is insane. As fashion-ation rightly said, he has the 'ability to think big and think imaginatively allowing the muse to create the interest and not be distracted by a setting or location.“I don't try to represent the reality but I try to filter it and through the imaginary world with some elegance and glitter!”'

Déjà vu

Yesterday saw Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Picciolo debut their first collection for Valentino in Paris.

The collection definitely pleased the houses' namesake Valentino Garavani, who leapt from front his seat in front row to applaud:

"They did a very good job. It is a collection that is perfect for this very moment. It was quite emotional to see all myclothes, done by these people who loved me for 12 years, and they are really sensational. They were always staying with me during my fittings of haute couture.”

Feel like you've seen elements of the collection before? According to fashionologie.com, the general feeling amongst the fash pack was that the show paid homage to the 'Valentino archive' and the design duo failed to make a stamp on the house and did not take on the responsibility of moving the house forward.

After seeing the collection I feel completely different. I loved the cream suits with the beautiful stand up collars, and the draped dresses and ruffle detailing on the ensembles. The jewel tones in red and aubergine were beautiful and classic but very cautious compared to the extravagant nature of the Valentino house. What more of a development is that. The designs moved away from the over-the-top excessive nature of the house, without compromising on the craftsmanship and detail we all love and expect from a couture show. I honestly think this is a positive mood for the house. The dresses and suits were very elegant and classic making it very relevant in the light of the current economic climate.

Is it right of us to be so critical of the design duo so early into their job at Valentino? I don't think so. It reminds me of Frida Giannini's first few season's at Gucci. Wasn't she criticized in the same way for trying to copy Tom Ford's aesthetic at Gucci? Her recent success at Gucci is a far cry from this early criticism. I say, give them a chance to find their feet. Critics should save judgment and allow the duo to find their own comfort zone in the brand.

Kate Moss really looked fashion fantastic as she stepped out in this gorgeous grey mini. Kate was recently kicked off the number one spots on the best dressed lists by the likes of Kylie Minogue and Agyness Deyn, but the supermodel really brought 'sexy back' in this grey number.

I love the shape on her. It completely transforms her from her usual petite frame by giving her some womanly curves.

Eye Candy

Can't wait to the spring/summer 09 collections? Me too, but even more so when I discovered on Vogue.com that Stella McCartney has just signed a deal with eyewear firm Luxottica for the design, production and distribution of Stella-branded sunglasses.

The highly anticipated collaboration will begin in January with the first collection becoming avaliable for the spring/summer 09 season. According to vogue, the contract has been signed for an initial six-year term, which then becomes automatically renewable for an additional five-year term.

This means that we have a long installment of eye candy to look forward to. What better way to look glam at the shows. I'll have mine. Will you?

Dunn Does It

Recently in a magazine, new It model 17 year old Jourdan Dunn, boldy touches an issue that many are scared to talk about.

The article titles 'Why are the catwalks so white?' sees Dunn speak openly about the lack of black models on the runway. This comes at a time where recently, supermodel diva Naomi Campbell spoke out about the lack of opportunities for black models in the fashion industry. Many people in the industry have avoided the recent controversy choosing not to comment on it so this is a brave move for Dunn, who is still relatively new to the model world. But like many argue, it's about time someone made a stand and who better than the designers present favourite clothes horse.

Early this month black designers like Duro Oluwu openly spoke out about the hard time even black designers are given trying to break out in the industry, crediting the help of American Vogue for seeing the quality of his clothes rather than the colour of his skin. He goes on to say that it was the help of both American and British Vogue that helped prevent further prejudice in his career and made buyers stand up and take notice of his designs.

In a society governed by tolerance and acceptance, why is it that the fashion industry has followed suit? Is the industry really suffering from racisim.

Fashion designer and former editor of style magazine Super, Super Kesh argues that "Being black in the business people instantly class you as 'urban', whereas a white person will be classed as high fashion'.

Why is this?

When I looked into this for research for this blog, I suddenly realised that there isn't many black people in authoratitive figures in the industry. Naomi Campbell, American Vogue's Editor at Lage Andre Leon Tally and now Duro Oluwu. Is that all there is out of the thousands of fashion positions globally. If that is not evidence that something needs to change, I don't know what is.

The Water Effect

I was lost for words when I laid eyes on this pictures on Fashion Ivy, which is a rare occurence.

I love the way the photographer captures the light. The movement of the models is so elegant and striking. It reminds me of the opening sequence of Stanley Kubrick's 1968 film '2001:Space Odyssey where the satellites are in orbit with non digetic classical music, creating the idea that they were dancing in space.

It's funny because this type of shor has been attempted every season in both American and Britain's Next Top Model and none have managed to get quite like this.

Crazy for Christina

I was so happy to open the new issue of ELLE UK the May issues to see Christina Ricci the Black Snake Moan star grace one of the main fashion stories.

Seeing her in the magazine has a nostalgic affect on me because it was the August 2004 issue with Ricci on the front cover that sucked me in to the world of fashion. The rest is history.

Styled by Anne-Marie Curtis and photographed by Matthew Vriens, the shoot has a dark edge compared to ELLE's more safe, fresh look. The shoot oozed fashion and sophistication combined with the edge and quirkiness Ricci is most famous for. Unfortunately for us fashion fans, Ricci missed the hot spot front page by Madonna, who is currently promoting her new single with Justin Timberlake '4 minutes'. This is a really disappointing move from ELLE. It was only two issues ago, where the mag placed Chloe Sevigny on the cover saying that they would only include people related or influential to the fashion industry to move away from this current craze of the celebrity. We all sighed with relief untill the new issue was released putting the fashion star Ricci in one of the fashion stories and placing Madonna on the front page. I know Madge has influence trends and popular culture in the past but I'm no so sure that her trademark Adidas tracksuit is what the ELLE consumer is trying to aspire to.

Hopefully this is a momentary blip for my favourite UK magazine so all we can do is wait for next months installment.

Old School Glamour for Demi and Rumer

On the runway shows of designers like Kimora Lee Simmons for BabyFat, we are getting strong references to that old school glamour that we all love. I'm talking cigarette pants, sharp tailoring, floor length gowns, the full works. This got me so excited for the new autumn/winter collections. Even more so after seeing these latest pictures of Demi, Ashton and Rummer at Grisogono’s Hollywood Dominos Benefiting The Art Of Elysium yesterday. Demi looks amazing in her white floor length gown. The swarovski crystals and fur really lends itself to that old school Hollywood glamour. Hopefully, we'll see more of that at the Oscars tomorrow. More and more celebrities are playing it safe on the red carpet. It's about time that we had more stars going all out for their 5 minute spot on the red carpet.

Rumer's dress looks amazing in her white floor length gown with it's intricate yet simple Grecian style draping. And I'm loving how both stars use the glamorous woman's make-up staple: the red lip.

I've just had a look at the new Nylon cover with Rachel Bilson and I'm really disappointed. For a girl that has so much innate personal style, stylists always manage to make her look so generic and 'teeny' on magazine shoots. Her hair is always non-descript and they always put her in the generic pinks and pastels. I'd love to see her in a more challenging shoot where they change her style completely. Something more like the recent shoot with Michelle Williams in Nylon. They completely changed her style and was creative with it and she looked amazing. Isn't that what we expect from fashion stories.....creativity!

Fully clad in the spring/summer Mui Mui collection both actresses spoke about working together on their latest film 'The other Boleyn Girl'

I love the shoot and think Natalie Portman really rocked it. She really got the intensity of the shoot and looked amazing in the different Mui Mui numbers. I hate to say it but I really didn't like Scarlett in this shoot. Her wide eyed expression looked scared as opposed to her usual sexual, femme fatale aura.

Westwood Back in Town

British fashion treasure Vivienne Westwood was back in the capital last week showing her hotly anticipated Red Label collection in London for the first time in nine years.

Westwood has shown her main-line collection in Paris for almost a decade and has no plans to change that, however her Red Label collection is back to Britain for the foreseeable future and she has called for other British big name designers to bring back their diffusion lines to LFW.

It's about time British designers came back to London. So many of our great designers like Alexander McQueen, John Galliano and even Preen have got up and left the capital. With the increase in London grown talent like Giles and Christopher Kane, London is proving to be a city that buyers and press dare not miss and it's about time.

Stylists are now synonymous with high fashion and red carpet and the power of transformation. The last decade has brought around the rise of the stylist. Rachel Zoe? We all know her now but would you have recognized that name say 5 years ago. As a celebrity stylist behind the seams, Zoe sets the tone for what Keira Knightley and Lindsay Lohan wear. In doing so, she and other stylists have morphed from dressers-and-schleppers hired by magazines to press and pin clothes at photo shoots to star-shapers and fashion visionaries who are courted by designers, celebrities and clothing brands.

Hollywood icons used to attend the Oscars wearing dresses by their favorite designers -- or bought off store racks -- and no one ever asked, "Who are you wearing?" The days of going it alone ended after Demi Moore was snapped in a disastrous self-designed bike shorts-and-bustier combo at the Academy Awards in 1989. Now, as Italian designer Giorgio Armani rued to the "Wall Street Journal," "No actress moves without her stylist."

"We've entered a topsy-turvy world where the stylist has more power than the designer,'' says Cohen, who's also chief industry analyst at the NPD Group, which follows the fashion trade. "Stylists are the matchmakers between designers and stars. And celebrities have become the vehicle for designers to communicate and separate themselves from the field."

Like puppet masters, stylists pull designers' strings, says Tom Julian, longtime fashion analyst for Oscar.com, the official website of the Academy Awards. "I have heard tales that a stylist believes that this gown must be in this color -- so it is," he says.

The art of transformation has always been apparent in fashion with icons such as Madonna all the way to pop starlet Kylie constantly changing their style but the art of transformation has not been as important as it has been in recent years. In a society where you are only as good as your last look, celebrities are all too quick to get their stylist in to change their look to get that front page spread of the magazines. The most recent example is Rihanna. Rihanna was nothing more than a R'n'B wannabe until she hired Phillip Bloch as her stylist and came out with hit single Umbrella. The rest is history. More recently Rih Rih cut her Pob in favour of a short Yoanna style that she's sporting at the moment in order to keep on top of the transformation game.

Another woman playing the transformation game recently is Kate Holmes. Since marrying Tom Cruise, the former Dawson's Creek star had been thrust into the fashion limelight. Kate's style epitomises classic chic and is far cry from Victoria Beckham's 'try hard' attempt at being fashionable. According to Galina Espinoza from People magazine: 'Katie Holmes is one of the most remarkable style revolutions. She's always very simple, very elegant and her clothes fit her properly'.

Beautifully Broken

Beautiful Fashion Week newcomer Jourdan Dunn,17, made history today as the first black model to hit the runway from Prada since Naomi Campbell did as long as 15 years ago.
This all comes at a time where race in fashion is a hot issue. Recently supermodel Naomi Campbell showed support for the Hammersmith born model in her fight to bring more non-white models to the catwalks.

“London's not a white city so why should all our castings be white? I go to castings and see several black and Asian girls, then I get to the show and look around and there's just me and maybe one other coloured face” said Dunn.

Talking about those with darker skin, she said: “They just don't get picked. I hope it's because the designer just didn't think they were good enough as a model but I don't know”.

With Dunn being one of the hottest models hitting the runway this season, hopefully this marks a change in attitudes amongst the fashion industry.

Only time will tell.

magazine. The actress gushed about pregnant life and looking forward to her first child with model Gabriel Aubry. Halle looked great on the cover in a white grecian style dress and causal basics in the cover story.
From the way this is looking, with celebs like Nicole, Halle and Christina, to name a few, celebrity maternity and children's line's may be the next big thing this year. When it happens remember you heard it here first.

NEWS IN: THE 'RIHANNA' BAG

It's one thing to have a hit 'song', okay maybe more than one, but still, does that explain and justify 'the' Marc Jacobs devoting a bag in her honour. The Stam bag in honour of Jessica Stam, I could kind of understand because nobody can deny that she is gorgeous and a great model, but Rihanna. I must confess that I am a Rihanna fan but I'm still not sure about this. What do you think? It seems like a trend in a series of suprising decisions for the designer, after last week relasing the pictures of his spring/summer campaign sported by the complete fashion whore that we call 'Posh'.

At first glance this new spring bag doesn’t resemble any other by designer Marc Jacobs. It doesn’t share any similar characteristic features that can be found when compared to one of its close relative lines – such as the signature chunky chain straps, quilted detailing, the iconic push-lock closure, etc. Nope, this bag is on it’s own. It’s a completely new style by the designer. I think it is in many ways a good move for the designer. The Marc Jacobs Rihanna bag is designed with a spacious interior (15.5″x 11.5″x 7.75″), a large easy-access twist-lock closure front flap pocket and features aged silver metal hardware, rolled leather half circle double handles, an extra 17” drop detachable thin chain link shoulder strap, the Marc Jacobs mini signature plaque on one side and a brown twill lining.

Although I loved the Stam, the style was getting rather dated and I suddenly turned off it when I saw secondary school girls wearing fake rips offs on the school bus. It's far less showy and more on the sophisticated side. Ahhh...if only I had £1,300 to spare......

Just after getting over the excitement about the release of the new movie based on the house of Gucci, and of course Shirley Maclaine and Audrey Tatou both playing the legendary Coco Chanel in separate projects, rumour has it that sexy movie pin up Jude Law is set to play Halston in an up can coming biopic.

The movie would be produced by Harvey Weinstein, who recently bought the Halston label, and hired Tamara Mellon and Rachel Zoe to helm the hems of the vintage brand.

The outfits so far have been spectacular, as have the rumours. Apparantly one of the ladies will die at the end of the movie, Charlotte has a baby of her own at last, and one of the girls gets a visit from a 21-year old she had adopted after a date rape in her teens (and apparantly the girl is a red head...!) But the most exciting thing we've seen so far is the transformation of Carrie from a blonde to a brunette, in the space of just two days filming.

This week, the BFC announced that under new law, models under 16 years old will no longer be allowed on the catwalks of London Fashion Week. This has been such an improvement seen as these days more and more young underage models like Ford's Chanel Iman are seen gracing the runways of shows for Marc Jacobs and Bottega Venneta. Despite my love for Iman and other young models alike, all it does is arguably present unachievable ideals for women and even teenagers to try and attain. Health panel experts in London are also investigating the possibility of sexual exploitation in underage models and state that underage models are often overly sexualized.

So finally after all the ratnig and raving about checking girls BMIs before casting them, now we can see some sort of improvement and measures put into place to protect models and more to the point, the women who see these girls. But as always, the fashion industry has to fight back and someone has to jump on the bandwagon of all the hyped publicity.

Just when you think the industry's sorting itself out, or perhaps 'snorting' itself out would be more appropriate. Siseley's new ad campaign features two models appearing to be sniffing drugs, but is in actual fact a white dress. Talk about sending mixed messages. Whether it's simply a means to jump on the bandwagon of all the puiblicity or simply a bit of tongue in cheek humour, Sisley has really taken it that bit too far. The industry is already under much criticism, what more an established high street chain coming out with a campaign that overtly glorifies drugs.

Lindsay was photographed here coming out of her SUV looking much better than I think we've seen her look in a long time. Now in its 16th year Graduate Fashion Week (GFW) just keeps getting bigger and better. With over 60 exhibiting stands, 19 shows and multiple industry sponsors, GFW has become a talent spotting fest. Not only that, but with the likes of Alber Elbaz from Lanvin Paris, Glenda Bailey, Editor in Chief of US Harper’s Bazaar and a Ms Victoria Beckham on the judging panel it has become a glamorous, must-attend event.

The obsession with Ms Beckham was clear for all to see, many an eye looked her way as she sat in the front row and chatted to Glenda Bailey and Zandra Rhodes. Whether she is qualified to judge our latest batch of grads is up for debate but whatever your views her attendance certainly upped the press coverage – good news for all concerned. However, let’s hope the column inches are filled with more than quips on her latest skirt length.

A dominant topic noted in the exhibition this year was sustainability and green fashion practices. Students from various colleges were invited by main line sponsor River Island to create a complete outfit from found sources. The recreated pieces were displayed alongside the main catwalk.

The London College of Fashion stand, meanwhile, was composed by recycling 120 copies of the 2006 Year Book. The neon pink and black stand certainly caught the attention of David Dalziel who presented The Dalziel + Pow Stand Award to the College, no easy feat as the standard was extremely high, in particular from Northumbria College and UWE Bristol.

Due to fantastic press and public demand organisers had to schedule 2 gala sittings. Presented by Caryn Franklyn, industry faces included the likes of Hilary Alexander, Suzy Menkes, Colin McDowell and Jimmy Choo – it’s London Fashion Week all over again. The shortlisted show included some stunning draped dresses layered with romantic ruffles in cream and black by Lilli Rose Wicks, Somerset College of Design. A show-stopping burlesque inspired collection featuring swirly metallic prints on second skin catsuits from Sara Nowell, Northumbria University. Plus a return to the 80s via ghetto blasters, lycra, hoods and block colour thanks to Julia Ison-Stierer, Westminster University.

On the evolution of her fashion sense thanks to Devil costume designer Patricia Field:"I feel I know how clothes go together now. Before, I was so desperate to have a style and a look that I would wear things I didn't feel comfortable in, that had nothing to do with me."

Everything has been revivals of old trends thatwe are becoming oh to familiar with, so it was a complete breath of fresh air to see the spring/summer collections of Dolce and Gabbana, Fendi, Gucci and Balenciaga to name a few. It looks like fashion is heading towards a twenty-first-century space odyssey. Gleaming fabrics, sculpted metal and glamorous sci-fi creations point to a brave new design direction. Designs were like nothing we've seen before and were simply breathtaking. How wearable this new trend actually is, is another matter entirely. Forget wearable, I'm still swooning over it all......

Everyones fallen for House of Holand

Holland is making headlines with his catchy wordplay T-shirts that both celebrate and poke fun at the fashion crowd. The tongue-in-cheek tees hark back to the eighties with their bold-lettered graphics (think Frankie Goes to Hollywood), but the rhymes have a fresh, insider tone.
This season, the 23-year-old riffed on designers, from U.K. darlings to Miuccia Prada. His Uhu Gareth Pugh and Get yer freak on Giles Deacon T-shirts landed on the London runway when each designer wore the other's to take his post-show bow. For fall, look for homages to his favorite catwalkers. I'll show you who's boss Kate Moss is bound to be a best-seller, but it was the chance to do a tongue twister for his muse, model Agyness Deyn, that really got Holland worked up.

Swimwear

Summer's approaching and this is that scary time of year when we're all searching around for that perfect piece of swimwear that flatters us in all the right places whilst being forgiving in others. I've been searchign for my summer staple and have fell in love with the Topshop cut-outs, which are a great balance between a bare all bikini and a reassuring swimsuit. Here's my fave cossies around....

The purple swimsuit is from Cia Martima and costs £95. I'm absolutely lovin' the warm purple tone that screams elegance and beachside glamour and work wonders to hide some deadly sins. The tones remind me of the tones shown at Lanvin and Bottega Venetta. The warm plum purple is the perfect colour to accentuate a golden tan. Team with gold jewellery for summer glamour.

The Black and green bikini is by Huit, Havanna Club Bikini and is a £69. Good for those with curves, the halterneck accentuates the bust, keeping everything in place regardless of how activeyou are on the beach. The green draws attention to the hips and the curves. This is an absolute fave of mine because it's so similar to the hite halterneck bikini Halle Berry wore in James Bond.

The black cutout swimsuit is from Lisa Ho at £115. Cutouts are definately at the forefront in terms of beachwear. Perfect for tall girls, this style is great for tanning. Wear with large oversized sunnies and wedges and a cocktail in hand

Summer's finally here, which means I can start stocking up on all the spring/summer goodies we all saw gracing runways worldwide last September. The show that I absolutely love and still am not getting bored of is the Chloe spring/summer 2007 show. Chloe's collection included lots of dresses inspired by the shift shapes which dominated the swinging sixties decade. It was a bit of a move away from the boho look we saw everywhere a few summers ago but still had that sixties element. Think Sienna Miller in Factory girl as Andy Warhol's muse Edie Sedgwick

Return of the Wayfarers

Ray-Ban Wayfarers are back. Since the company began reissuing the original shades late last year, young Hollywood -- from Ashley Olsen to The Killers' Brandon Flowers and Nicole Richie-- has embraced the classic chunky glasses.
Wayfarers were first manufactured in 1952 and championed by Audrey Hepburn (pictured), James Dean, and other hip tastemakers. The shades were also a fashion staple in the '80s, alongside big bangs and shoulderpads.

I don't know what colour looks best. I've seent the white ones on Drew Barrymore and Kirsten Dunst but the black are classic. Oh decisions decisions decisions!

Oops she did it again

I must confess that I am a devout fan of our Posh and I'm a self confesed follower of her every stylish move so I was disappointed to see her in this outfit as she went shopping around LA. I mean, who goes out in this for a stint of shopping? The top and the shoes are good but the skirt is not my cup of tea and the whole combo is too OTT and scream 'I'm trying to look on trend'. She gets it so right sometimes, but instances like this leave me thinking, Victoria why? Hopefully this was a little blip and not an outfit that will repeat itself in any other shape or form. I've searched everywhere for them but the best places surprisingly is the chemists and pharmacies for really authentic vintage ones. Fashion has become more than shopping; the shops themselves are now getting more attention than the clothes. I was absolutely dubfounded the first time I visited the Louis Vuitton store in Paris on the Champs-Elysées but it appears that Louis Vuitton has a been chalenged by none other than Prada. I didnt believe it untill i saw the pictures myself but the architecture of their flagship stores are just as important as the clothes. The new store in Tokyo is second to none.

So many celebs have gone down the predictable path of starting their won fashion label only to allow someone else to do all the designing and have their name out the name tag. The World's Next Top Model

I was so excited to see Vogue's new issue; with a dobule page spread showing the world's next top model who are Lily Donaldson, Hilary Rhoda, Doutzen Kroes, Sasha Pivovarova, Caroline Trentini, Raquel Zimmermann, Jessica Stam, Chanel Iman, Coco Rocha and Agyness Deyn. Not so long ago, the pages of Vogue where full with the Versace ad celebrating the era of the 'Supermodel' with models such as Kate Moss, Daria Werbowy to name a few but it's good now to see Vogue celebrating the new blood. even more surprising was the clothes the girls were wearing. For such an amazing story you'd expect high fashion at this best, but the clothes are by none other than GAp. I've never been the biggest fan of Gap to it was amazing to see what is usually very basic and casual look oh so chic and fabulous. The idea I'm sure was in light of Gap deciding to jump on the designer train like Stella for H&M and so many others and they have chosen this year's winners of the 2006 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Doo.Ri, Rodarte and Thakoon. The prices range from $66-88 so are affordable for anyone who wants to treat themselves on a designer piece on the cheap. It's great to do that. I'll confess and say that I did end up collection nearly every item of the Stella and Karl Largerfield's collection for H&M. I mean, when will there be another opportunity for someone to get such greatly designed and cut clothes at scuh affordable prices. On that note, I'm envious that I'm not in the States right now because it still has not been said whether the collection is coming over to London. Fingers crossed.

It's only a few more days until the Kate Moss collection is released worldwide and I can feel the anticipation building. I was lucky enough to see the new collection and it really is Kate. Many people have criticized it for being nothing new and lacking innovation but I don't think that is what she was going for. Like she said, the collection was based on things in her wardrobe that she wanted to adapt and improve. It just so happened that I was looking at my old pictures on my computer where I came across Kate say 10 years a go with Johny Depp wearing a gorgeous black dress that resembles a dress in the collection. if it's good enough for Kate; it's good enough for me...

One of my greatest trends at the moment is the revival of the high waist. Done are the days when womens midriffs were out on show. Th high waist draws attention to the sex appeal of the waist without being slutty and overt. For those of you like me, who were not born with legs like Mischa Barton, they create the illusion of long legs through sharp long lines. Having said all that, I was so disappointed to see Jessica Simpson sporting the trend but oh so badly. Instead of flashing her boobs as she is now well known for doing, Jessica has decided to make down south the focus of the paparazzi's attention; sporting an unflattering camel toe. A grade A for effort but D for result.
